Oldbury is an industrialised market town, being one of the six towns that make up Sandwell. Oldbury was part of the ancient parish of Halesowen. In 1966, Oldbury was merged with Smethwick and Rowley Regis. In 1974, the town then became part of the new Sandwell Metropolitan Borough.

Why Oldbury is a great investment

Sandwell Council currently has immediate plans for the former Toys R Us store to be transformed into an £11 million retail park. This park will generate 75 jobs helping Oldbury’s already booming economy. Oldbury also has some of the highest rental yields in Birmingham.

Transportation

• Train – Oldbury town centre is only a few steps away from Sandwell & Dudley station. From there you can get to Birmingham New Street comfortably within the hour. From there, the whole of the UK is your oyster.
• Bus – the 87 route will drop you straight into Birmingham city centre. The 74 will also take you to Birmingham, but goes as far as Dudley, giving you excellent opportunities to explore the Black Country more widely.
