Quinton Area Guide

Quinton is a ward in Birmingham, five miles from Birmingham City Centre. Quinton borders the Birmingham suburbs of Harborne and Bartley Green. Quinton is home to the Church Of England’s Church, Christ Church. The Church has the highest point of any building in Birmingham. Before the Church was built, it was part of the ancient parish of Halesowen and was largely owned in medieval times by the wealthy Abbey at Lapal near Halesowen.

Though this area (including the Christ Church) dates back to the Victorian era, Quinton was formally removed from Worcestershire and incorporated into the county borough of Birmingham on the 9th November 1909.

Bus – Quinton is fantastically served by the X8 route which arrives in the beating heart of Birmingham city centre. The 9 and X10 also offer quick and convenient access to Birmingham. The 54 and 54A provide regular services to West Bromwich, while the 19 goes as far as Dudley.
Car – The A456, M5, and M6 all provide convenient routes from Quinton into Birmingham and the rest of the UK.

What to do in Quinton

Quinton has a great selection of restaurants and take-outs, as they line the Hagley Road. One of the great restaurants is Big Man’s Food, serving halal burgers the size of your head!
